The objective of this project is to continue the development of a 5-year strategic transportation plan for the I-25 Technology Corridor that considers business and residential expansion as well as possible traffic disturbances caused by major events and catastrophic accidents. This is a real-world SimCity exercise with a priority on fostering public transit ridership that requires effective first and last mile mobility options.
Students will have an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of how the economic development process works while interfacing with transportation technology companies regarding mobility solutions and traffic data analyses. The project will start this fall and continue through the summer session. Academic credit for this project may be available through your university.
